The Portal for Radiology and Imaging related sites

This facility searches several of the main on-line image databases for examples of pathology shown on imaging. At present it searches the following teaching files

• Brigham and Womens Hospital Harvard Medical School, USA
• Iowa University Hospital, USA
• Wayne State University, USA
• University Hospitals of Cleveland, Rainbow Babies and Childrens Hospital and Case Western Reserve University, USA
• Mallinckrodt Institute of Radiology, Washington Medical Centre, USA - Nuclear Medicine cases
• University of Alabama, USA
• Central Middlesex Hospital, UK
• Brigham and Womens Hospital Harvard Medical School - SPECT atlas
• MyPacs.net teaching file database
• Dr Gentili's MSK teaching files
• Cases from the Alfred Dupont Institute
• Dr T's teaching cases
• John Hunter MSK teaching file - Washington University Department of Radiology

This currently adds up to over 8000 cases. Further on line databases will be added in the near future. Very few of the collections are indexed by ACR coding. When searching it is best to try the commonest name for a pathology or use a stem initially (ie "lymphoma" rather than "renal lymphoma"). Incorrect spelling may cause a search to fail. American and English spellings may both need to be tried (ie "haemangioma" or "hemangioma"). For further information on search strategies see the other help page click Here
